House of Monara was founded because we recognised that there was a need for a high-quality organic coconut product which would benefit our consumers. We also wanted our product to benefit the communities who harvest the coconuts for our products. Therefore, we only use the highest quality coconuts which are hand- picked from sustainable organic coconut plantations around Sri Lanka. We value our product as being ethically sourced. We have created a product of the highest quality which is organic, vegan friendly and cold-pressed.

 

We chose Monara as our brand name. Monara means peacock in the Sri Lankan language. Peacocks are native to Sri Lanka and India and are the most beautiful, elegant animals to ever exist. Monara displaying its magnificent feathers is a common site in Sri Lanka.  We wanted our brand name to be associated with beauty, elegance and purity as well as its Sri Lankan origin.
